The 2 1/2" Ames 2000CIV began in 1997 when the Ames Company was purchased by the Watts Regulator Company. The 2000CIV was actually a retagged Watts 709. The body was constructed of epoxy coated cast iron. Check assemblies were made of bronze and stainless steel. Check seats are replaceable and of bronze construction. No special tools are required to service.

The Ames 6000HMB Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) is designed to thread on to a fire hydrant for temporary water usage. The body is made of stainless steel and features a one cover design. Water meter is integrated into the device for usage monitoring. Modular check assemblies thread into body. The relief valve sets directly below the cover and uses an external sensing line. Relief valve cover designed for anti-theft. No special tools are required for servicing.
