The 2" Febco 860 Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) backflow preventer was introduced in 1997 and is still in production. Known as Febcos "Master Series", the 860 feature an in-line check design with bottom mounted relief valve. Check assemblies are self contained modular style. The relief valve is a stem type with internal sensing line. In 2010, the LF860 was introduced as a lead free model to meet new plumbing codes. Both original and lead free versions use the same repair parts. No special tools are required for servicing.
