The 3" Febco 805Y double check valve assembly began production in 1973 and was discontinued in 1988. The 805Y was replaced with the 805YD. The body is painted epoxy coated cast iron. Internal check parts were constructed of bronze. Check seats were replaceable but a special seat removal tool is required. The bronze check assemblies and seats have been discontinued, but the newer stainless steel check assembly is a direct replacement. Use caution when servicing as covers have spring tension against them.
