Installation Requirements

  • The assembly must be installed a minimum of 12 inches (12") above the highest downstream outlet and the highest point in the downstream piping.
  • End connections are NPT ANSI/ASME B1.20.1, designed for standard National Pipe Taper threads.
  • Assemblies must be installed in locations that are easily accessible for maintenance, periodic testing, and where discharge is not objectionable.
  • If the assembly is subject to freezing temperatures, additional freeze protection procedures must be followed. The freeze sensor requires an add-on connection kit (sold separately) for activation and communication with monitoring systems.

Operation

The Series 765 consists of a spring-loaded check valve that closes tightly when pressure drops below 1 psi or when flow ceases, and an air relief valve that opens to break a siphon when pressure drops to 1 psi.
