Description

This 1 1/2 inch Watts LF800M4QT Lead Free Anti-Siphon Pressure Vacuum Breaker prevents backsiphonage of contaminated water into a potable water supply. Constructed from durable lead free cast copper silicon alloy, it features a replaceable plastic seat and easy-access internal parts for simple maintenance. Ideal for irrigation and industrial process water systems, it operates up to 150 psi. An integrated freeze sensor works with SentryPlus Alert® technology to warn of freezing conditions, enhancing system protection. Female NPT inlet and outlet connections with quarter turn shutoffs ensure straightforward installation. Item number T792014.

Help Me Connect

Connections

  • This device features 1 1/2 inch Female NPT inlet and outlet connections, making it compatible with 1 1/2 inch Male NPT piping.

Installation

  • Designed for vertical installation in a continuous pressure potable water supply system, it must be installed 12 inches above the highest point of the downstream piping. The supply must connect to the bottom of the valve.
  • Adequate space is required around the valve for periodic inspection, servicing, and testing.

Freeze Sensor Activation

  • The integrated freeze sensor requires an add-on connection kit (sold separately) for activation and communication of alerts via Wi-Fi, Building Management Systems (BMS), or Irrigation Management Systems (IMS). Without this kit, the sensor is a passive component and does not communicate.

Important Note: Vacuum breakers are not designed, tested, or approved to protect against backpressure backflow or water hammer shock. For these conditions, a Watts LF009 Reduced Pressure Zone Backflow Preventer or a Watts Series LF15 Water Hammer Arrestor should be considered, respectively.

Additional Details

This 1 1/2 inch Watts LF800M4QT Lead Free Anti-Siphon Pressure Vacuum Breaker prevents backsiphonage of contaminated water into a potable water supply. It is ideal for continuous pressure applications such as irrigation systems and industrial process water systems where water enters equipment at or below its flood rim.

Key Features

  • Backsiphonage Prevention: Designed to prevent reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply.
  • Lead Free Construction: Features a lead free cast copper silicon alloy body construction, ensuring compliance with lead free installation requirements.
  • Internal Components: Includes a silicone rubber check valve disc, plastic check valve seat, stainless steel springs, a bonnet with silicone rubber O-ring seal, and a lightweight plastic disc float.
  • Freeze Sensor: Equipped with an integrated freeze sensor for use with SentryPlus Alert® technology to signal facility personnel when temperatures approach and reach the freezing point.
  • Ease of Maintenance: Features a replaceable plastic seat and easy internal access for simplified servicing. Test cocks are positioned for easy testing and winterization draining.
  • Shutoff Valves: Standardly equipped with tee handle quarter turn ball valve shutoffs on both the inlet and outlet.

A WARNING: The freeze sensor solely provides alerts about a possible freeze event and cannot prevent a freeze event from occurring. User action is required to prevent freeze conditions from causing product and/or property damage. An add-on connection kit (sold separately) is required to activate the freeze sensor's communication features for Wi-Fi, BMS, or IMS integration. Vacuum breakers are not designed, tested, or approved to protect against backpressure backflow or water hammer shock.
