Connections and Installation
- This atmospheric vacuum breaker features Female NPT inlet and outlet connections, compliant with ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 standards.
- It must be installed on the discharge side of the last shutoff valve.
- Ensure the unit is installed with the air inlet in a level position and at a minimum of 6 inches (150mm) above the highest overflow level of the equipment it serves.
- No back pressure is allowed on the unit from pumps or any other conditions.
- It is critical that no valve of any type or any shutoff be installed downstream of this atmospheric vacuum breaker.
