Installation Requirements

  • This pressure vacuum breaker must be installed a minimum of 12 inches above the highest downstream outlet and the highest point in the downstream piping to prevent backpressure.
  • Install in an easily accessible location for maintenance and periodic testing, and where discharge is not objectionable.
  • Ensure discharge pressure is maintained above 3.0 psi to properly seat the spring-loaded air inlet poppet.

Freeze Sensor Activation

  • An add-on connection kit (sold separately) is required to activate the integrated freeze sensor. Without this kit, the sensor operates as a passive component with no communication capabilities.
  • The connection kit enables the sensor to communicate freeze alerts via Wi-Fi, Building Management Systems (BMS), or Irrigation Management Systems (IMS).

Additional Details

This FEBCO Series 765 Pressure Vacuum Breaker Backflow Preventer with a 1 1/4 inch NPT connection protects potable water systems from backsiphonage of health and non-health hazard liquids. It is suitable for use in industrial plants, cooling towers, laboratories, laundries, swimming pools, and lawn sprinkler systems.

This assembly features a bronze body for durability and includes a freeze sensor designed for use with SentryPlus Alert® technology to monitor temperature and signal facility personnel when freeze conditions approach. The sensor is a standalone unit and requires an add-on connection kit (sold separately) to activate its monitoring capabilities, including Wi-Fi communication for alerts.

WARNING: It is illegal to use this product in any plumbing system providing water for human consumption, such as drinking or dishwashing, in the United States. Always consult your local water authority, building, and plumbing codes before installation.
WARNING: The freeze sensor solely provides alerts and cannot prevent a freeze event. User action is required to prevent freeze conditions from causing product and/or property damage.

Key Components

  • Bronze body construction for long-lasting durability.
  • A single spring-loaded check valve closes tightly when pressure drops below 1 psi or flow stops.
  • An air relief valve with opening port breaks the siphon when pressure drops to 1 psi.
  • Features two resilient seated shutoffs and two resilient seated test cocks integral to the assembly.
  • Engineered plastic bonnet protects the valve body from freeze damage.
  • All internal parts are serviceable in-line from the top of the unit.

Freeze Sensor Technology

  • Includes a standalone freeze sensor to monitor temperature near or at water-carrying outdoor installations vulnerable to freezing.
  • The sensor can trigger alerts for low and freezing temperatures when connected to a monitoring system via an add-on connection kit (sold separately).
  • Connection kit (sold separately) allows for communication via built-in Wi-Fi, Building Management Systems (BMS), or Irrigation Management Systems (IMS).
