Help Me Connect

Sensor Connectivity

  • The integrated flood sensor is designed to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve.
  • To activate flood alerts, an add-on connection kit is required. Without this kit, the sensor operates as a passive component and does not communicate with other devices.
  • Connection kit options include compatibility with BMS (Building Management Systems), cellular communication, or the Sensor Control Monitor.
  • The Sensor Control Monitor enables integration with BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa platform through Wi-Fi.

Main Connections

  • This assembly features 1 1/4 inch NPT ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 threaded end connections for secure installation into your piping system.
  • It includes quarter turn ball valves for convenient shutoff.

Additional Details

The FEBCO Series LF825Y 1 1/4 inch Reduced Pressure Zone Backflow Preventer Assembly provides reliable protection against high hazard (toxic) fluids in potable water supplies.

This assembly is ideal for industrial plants, hospitals, chemical facilities, irrigation systems, boiler feed lines, and other installations requiring maximum cross-connection contamination protection.

Key Features

  • Features a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert technology to detect continuous discharge from the relief valve.
  • Includes threaded quarter turn ball valves and test cocks for shutoff.
  • Lead Free* construction complies with state codes and standards.
  • Modular relief valve and check valves for easy maintenance.
  • All internal parts are serviceable in line.
  • Designed with low head loss.
  • Spring loaded "Y" type check valves.
  • Replaceable seat rings on all sizes.

Operation

  • In normal flow conditions, the check valves are open with the zone pressure maintained at least 5 psi lower than the inlet pressure, and the relief valve is closed.
  • Should abnormal conditions arise (no flow or reversal of flow), the differential relief valve opens and discharges to maintain the zone at least 2 psi lower than the supply.
  • When normal flow resumes, the differential pressure in the zone resumes and the relief valve closes.

Construction

  • Mainline valve body and caps are Lead Free* cast copper silicon alloy.
  • Relief valve body and cover are Lead Free* cast copper silicon alloy.
  • Check valve moving member is center stem guided.
  • Elastomers feature Nitrile seat discs.
  • Diaphragms are Nitrile, fabric reinforced.
  • Springs are Stainless steel.
  • End connections are NPT ANSI/ASME B1.20.1.

Note: An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor's alert features. Without this kit, the sensor is a passive component without communication to other devices. Watts® is not responsible for the failure of alerts due to connectivity or power issues.
