Installation & Connections

  • This 1.5 inch backflow preventer features NPT threaded end connections (ANSI B1.20.1) and is designed to connect directly to corresponding 1.5 inch NPT pipe.
  • Installation must be in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the latest edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code.
  • The assembly should be mounted at a minimum of 12 inches (305mm) and a maximum of 30 inches (762mm) above adequate drains, ensuring sufficient side clearance for testing and maintenance.
  • For below-grade installations in standard valve boxes, ensure adequate drainage is provided to prevent submersion.
