Connections

  • The 1 inch female NPT threaded body connection is designed to accept a 1 inch male NPT threaded pipe or fitting.

Flood Sensor Connectivity

The integrated flood sensor requires an add-on connection kit (sold separately) for activated communication features. These kits enable compatibility with Building Management Systems (BMS) or cellular communication. For advanced integration, a Sensor Control Monitor (also sold separately) can connect to your BAS via RS-485 Modbus or to the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.

Additional Details

This 1 inch lead free reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly protects the potable water supply from contamination due to backsiphonage and backpressure. It is ideal for continuous pressure piping applications and cross-connections identified as health hazards.

Features

  • Lead Free* construction throughout, including the cast copper silicon alloy body and ball valve shutoffs, to comply with national plumbing codes and reduce lead content.
  • Unique patented air-in and water-out principle provides high capacity relief valve discharge during emergency conditions of combined backsiphonage and backpressure with both checks fouled.
  • Includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve, helping prevent costly damage.
  • Flood alerts can be activated with an add-on sensor connection kit (sold separately), compatible with BMS and cellular communication, or integrated with BAS via RS-485 Modbus or Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.
  • Modular, compact design easing installation and servicing.
  • Features quarter-turn ball valve shutoffs with tee handles.
  • Replaceable seats for simplified maintenance.
  • Can be installed horizontal or vertical (up or down).
  • Equipped with top mounted test cocks.
Note: An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor's communication features. Without the kit, the flood sensor is a passive component. Watts is not responsible for alert failures due to connectivity or power issues.
