This 10 inch Watts 957RPDA-OSY-LM-FS Reduced Pressure Detector Assembly Backflow Preventer protects potable water systems from contamination due to backpressure or backsiphonage, particularly in health hazard applications such as fire sprinkler systems.
It features an extremely compact design that is lighter than traditional models and is approved for horizontal installation. The assembly includes a stainless steel body with a quick access sleeve, torsion spring check valves, resilient seated gate valves with outside stem and yoke (OSY), test cocks, and a corrosive resistant bottom mounted pressure relief valve. A flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology is integrated to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve.
It is illegal to use this product in any plumbing system providing water for human consumption, such as drinking or dishwashing, in the United States. Before installing standard material product, consult your local water authority, building and plumbing codes.
Flood Detection & Monitoring
- Features a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect continuous discharge from the relief valve.
- An add-on sensor connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor and extend flood monitoring capabilities. Without the kit, the sensor is passive.
- Integrates with a Sensor Control Monitor to deliver maintenance alerts to Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi connectivity, or via BMS and cellular network communication options.
