Description

The Colt C500 10 inch Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly protects potable water supplies from contamination caused by backpressure or backsiphonage, making it ideal for fire sprinkler systems and other health-hazard cross-connections. This assembly features a durable 304 stainless steel body, OSY resilient seated gate valves, and grooved inlet/outlet connections for easy installation. An integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert technology detects continuous relief valve discharge, while a metered bypass monitors for leaks or unauthorized water use. It operates at a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI.

Connections

  • This assembly features grooved inlet and outlet connections for straightforward installation and integral pipeline adjustment.
  • The grooved couplings facilitate easy installation and proper pipe alignment.

Flood Sensor Connectivity

  • To activate the integrated flood sensor, an add-on sensor connection kit is required.
  • Without the connection kit, the flood sensor remains a passive component and will not communicate with external devices.
  • Available connection kit options include BMS, cellular communication, or the Sensor Control Monitor, which integrates with Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform via Wi-Fi.
