Description

The Colt 10 inch Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly (F0191329) is designed to protect potable water supplies from dangerous cross-connections, preventing reverse flow from fire protection and non-potable systems. It features a durable 304 stainless steel body, OSY shutoff valves, and grooved couplings for simple installation. A key benefit is the integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology, which detects excessive relief valve discharge and can be activated with an add-on connection kit for remote alerts. The unit also includes a gallon per minute meter for detecting water leakage or unauthorized use. Approved for horizontal N pattern installation, it provides reliable backflow prevention.

Help Me Connect

This 10 inch reduced pressure detector assembly is designed for horizontal N pattern installation and utilizes grooved couplings for easy and efficient connection into your pipeline. These groove fittings facilitate integral pipeline adjustment and simplified installation.

To activate the integrated flood sensor and enable alert notifications, an add-on sensor connection kit is required. Without this kit, the flood sensor will remain a passive component. Various connection kit options are available to integrate the sensor with Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi, as well as cellular communication.

Additional Details

This Colt™ 10 inch reduced pressure detector backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection substances and water of non-potable quality from being pumped or siphoned into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and/or backpressure.

This compact modular design includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve, monitoring unauthorized water use in fire protection systems.

A WARNING: It is illegal to use this product in a plumbing system providing water for human consumption, such as drinking or dishwashing, in the United States. Before installing standard material product, consult your local water authority, building and plumbing codes.
