Flood Sensor Connectivity

This backflow preventer assembly includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology. To activate its full functionality and enable alerts for excessive water discharges, an add-on connection kit is required. Without this kit, the sensor operates as a passive component with no external communication. Compatible connection kit options include those for BMS, cellular communication, and the Sensor Control Monitor, which integrates with Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.

FAQs

What is the primary purpose of the 10 inch LF909M1-DNRS-FS backflow preventer?

Its primary purpose is to prevent the reverse flow of polluted water into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage or backpressure, ensuring cross-connection control in health hazard applications and continuous pressure piping.

What does "Lead Free" mean for this product?

"Lead Free" indicates that the wetted surface of this product, which comes into contact with consumable water, contains less than 0.25% lead by weight, complying with Lead Free installation requirements.

How does the ArmorTek® coating benefit this backflow preventer?

The ArmorTek® coating is a patented 3-part advanced epoxy system engineered to reduce microbial-induced corrosion (MIC) and protect all exposed metal substrates, enhancing the product's durability and longevity.

Does the flood sensor come ready to send alerts out of the box?

No, the flood sensor is a passive component unless an add-on connection kit is installed. This kit is required to activate the sensor's functionality to relay alerts via BMS, cellular communication, or Wi-Fi to facility personnel.

What type of shutoff valves are included with this assembly?

This assembly includes domestic non-rising stem resilient seated gate valves, which are designed for reliable flow control and shutoff operations.
