It is designed for horizontal Z pattern installation; ensure the assembly is oriented correctly with the direction of the flow arrow.
Maintain adequate clearance around the valve for inspection, testing, and servicing. A 12-inch minimum clearance is needed between the lower part of the assembly and the floor or grade.
The valve must be protected from freezing.
For normal discharge and nuisance spitting, an Ames air gap fitting and a fabricated indirect waste line can be used.
Ensure floor drains of the same size are provided in case of excessive discharge.
