The 2 1/2 inch AMES Series 3000SS Double Check Detector Assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection system substances and non-potable water into the potable water supply. This backflow preventer is ideal for protection at cross-connections identified as non-health hazards, such as those found in fire protection systems and from other service line contaminants.

This compact modular assembly features a lightweight stainless steel body, OSY resilient seated gate valves, and captured spring Cam-Check valves. It includes a gallon per minute (GPM) meter to detect underground leaks and unauthorized water use.
