Description

This 2 1/2 inch AMES 3000SS Double Check Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly with OS&Y shutoffs and tamper switch is designed for non-health hazard fire protection systems. It prevents backflow of non-potable substances like stagnant water into the potable supply. Featuring a lightweight stainless steel body, it offers long-term corrosion protection and reduced installation costs. The assembly includes cam-check valves for low head loss and a 5/8" x 3/4" bronze meter to detect leaks. This 2 1/2 inch AMES 3000SS Double Check Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly with OS&Y shutoffs, a tamper switch, and a gallons per minute meter is designed to prevent the reverse flow of non-potable fire protection system substances into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and/or backpressure.

It is ideal for protecting cross-connections identified as non-health hazards, such as those found in fire protection systems and other service line entrance contaminants.
