FAQs

What is the primary function of the Deringer™ 20 Double Check Valve Assembly?

This assembly is designed to prevent non-health hazard pollutants from entering a potable water supply system due to backpressure and/or backsiphonage conditions.

What materials are primarily used in the construction of this backflow preventer?

The valve housing, valve cover, SOV shafts, and check springs are constructed from various grades of stainless steel, including 304 SS and 17-7 SS. Check disks are silicone (NSF), and O-rings are Buna-N (NSF).

What are the operating pressure and temperature limits for this device?

The Deringer™ 20 is rated for a working pressure of 10-175 psi and can operate within a temperature range of 33°F to 140°F.

What type of end connections does the Deringer™ 20 assembly use?

The assembly features IPS grooved ends, which are suitable for steel pipe connections and compatible with AWWA C606 standards. Flange adapters are also available for different installation needs.

What are the key features of the patented Dual-action™ check modules?

The Dual-action™ check modules are designed for optimal performance with a poppet action at low flow conditions and a swing action at high flow conditions, ensuring effective backflow prevention across varying flow rates.
