It operates within a 10-175 psi working pressure and 33-140°F temperature range.

Connecting Your 2 1/2 inch Deringer 40 RP Backflow Preventer

This 2 1/2 inch backflow preventer assembly is designed with IPS grooved ends for direct connection to steel pipe, in compliance with AWWA C606. For installations requiring flanged connections, the unit is compatible with flange adapters conforming to ANSI B16.1 Class 125; these adapters are sold separately.

Note: The 2 inch size variant of this assembly uses a 2 1/2 inch assembly with 2 1/2 inch groove to 2 inch female NPT adapter and couplings, which ship unassembled. This D-2540 model is the native 2 1/2 inch grooved assembly.
