Flood Sensor Activation & Connectivity

The integrated flood sensor requires an add-on connection kit for activation and to communicate alerts. Without this kit, the sensor operates passively and will not relay signals. Connection kit options allow for diverse monitoring solutions:

  • Building Management Systems (BMS): For integration into existing building controls.
  • Cellular Communication: Enables remote alerts via call, email, or text.
  • Sensor Control Monitor: Facilitates integration with Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi connectivity.

Additional Details

This 2 1/2 inch lead free FEBCO MasterSeries® LF886V Reduced Pressure Zone Detector Assembly (Type II) is engineered to protect potable drinking water systems from backpressure and backsiphonage of high hazard/toxic fluids, making it ideal for industrial installations and applications. The assembly is equipped with domestic OSY shutoff valves and a metered bypass for comprehensive water system management.

Advanced Protection & Monitoring

  • Features a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect continuous discharge from the relief valve, enabling multi-channel alerts (call, email, text) to notify personnel of potential flooding.
  • Includes ArmorTek® powder coating, a patented three-part advanced epoxy system, applied to the ductile iron body and internal/external surfaces to resist microbial-induced corrosion (MIC) and protect exposed metal substrate.
  • Equipped with a compact detector bypass assembly with a GPM meter, capable of detecting potential underground water leaks and unauthorized water usage.

Durable & Serviceable Design

  • The main valve features stainless steel relief valve seat and stainless steel check components for maximum performance and extended durability.
  • Designed for inline serviceability, allowing for maintenance without special tools.
  • Incorporates captured modular spring assembly, reversible and replaceable discs, and field replaceable seats for ease of repair.
  • Constructed with a ductile iron valve body for robust performance.
  • The auxiliary bypass includes an inline serviceable 3/4" check assembly with a field replaceable seat and disc.

An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor. Without the connection kit, the flood sensor is a passive component that does not communicate with any other device.

Use of the flood sensor does not replace the need to comply with all required instructions, codes, and regulations related to installation, operation, and maintenance of this product, including the need to provide proper drainage in the event of a discharge. Watts® is not responsible for the failure of alerts due to connectivity issues, power outages, or improper installation.
