This AMES Colt(TM) 2 1/2 inch lead free double check detector backflow preventer assembly is engineered to prevent the reverse flow of objectionable, non-toxic substances and water of non-potable quality into the potable water supply system. It is ideal for protection at cross-connections identified as non-health hazards, such as on fire sprinkler systems and at service line entrances.

The compact modular design features a single access sleeve for easy maintenance and is approved for horizontal or vertical installation. It includes OSY (Outside Stem & Yoke) resilient seated gate valves, Tri-Link check valves, and a gallon per minute (GPM) meter to detect underground leaks and unauthorized water use.
