Additional Details

This Colt™ 2 1/2 inch lead free reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection substances and water of non-potable quality from being pumped or siphoned into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and/or backpressure. It is approved for horizontal Z pattern installation and is ideal for protection in continuous pressure piping applications and at cross-connections identified as health hazards.

Features

  • Includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve.
  • When paired with an add-on connection kit (sold separately), the sensor activates to relay alerts for potential flooding events.
  • Extremely compact design, up to 70% lighter than traditional designs.
  • Constructed with a Type 304 (Schedule 40) stainless steel housing and sleeve for durability.
  • Features groove fittings for integral pipeline adjustment and unmatched ease of serviceability.
  • Incorporates a patented link check for lowest pressure loss and reversible silicone or EPDM check disc rubber.
  • Equipped with drip tight shutoff valves and non-rising stem (NRS) resilient seated gate valves.

Installation must be done by a trained product installer, and all required instructions, codes, and regulations related to installation, operation, and maintenance must be followed. Proper drainage must be provided for any discharge. The flood sensor does not replace these requirements.
