Installation Guidelines

  • Install on the discharge side of the last shutoff valve.
  • Ensure the vacuum breaker is positioned at least 6 inches (150 mm) above the highest point of water or overflow level.
  • The air inlet must be in a level position.
  • No shutoff valve or other valve of any type may be installed downstream of this atmospheric vacuum breaker.
