Description

This 2 inch FEBCO Series 765 Pressure Vacuum Breaker Backflow Preventer is engineered with a durable bronze body to protect against health hazard and non-health hazard backsiphonage. Ideal for industrial plants, cooling towers, laundries, swimming pools, and irrigation systems, it features a spring-loaded check valve, air relief valve, and resilient seated quarter-turn shutoffs. An integrated freeze sensor utilizes SentryPlus Alert® technology for temperature monitoring, providing alerts with an optional connection kit. Rated for 150 psi and temperatures from 32°F to 140°F, it offers reliable performance and in-line serviceability.

Installation Requirements

  • Pressure Vacuum Breaker assemblies require installation at least 12 inches above the highest piping and outlet downstream of the assembly to prevent backpressure.
  • Install in locations that are easily accessible for maintenance, periodic testing, and where discharge is not objectionable.
  • If subject to freezing temperatures, follow freeze protection procedures outlined in "Service Instruction Freeze Protection Model 765."
  • For 2 inch sizes, the discharge pressure shall be maintained above 5.0 psi to ensure seating of the spring-loaded air inlet poppet.

Freeze Sensor Connectivity

The integrated freeze sensor requires an add-on connection kit (sold separately) to activate its full monitoring capabilities. Without this kit, the sensor is a passive component and will not communicate alerts.
