The 3 inch AMES Series 3000SS Double Check Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly with less shutoff valves and a gallon per minute meter is designed for non-health hazard containment in fire protection systems. This compact unit features a durable 300 Series stainless steel body, cam-check valves for low head loss, and is suitable for horizontal or vertical "flow up" installation. This 3 inch double check detector backflow preventer assembly, Series 3000SS, is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection substances and water of non-potable quality into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and/or backpressure. It is ideal for protection at cross-connections identified as non-health hazards such as on fire protection systems and from other contaminants found at the service line entrance.
