Additional Details

This 3/4 inch Watts Series LF9D Dual Check Valve with Intermediate Atmospheric Vent prevents the reverse flow of hot or cold polluted water from entering into the potable water supply system. It is designed for continuous pressure, non-health hazard applications in smaller supply lines.

Construction is a lead free forged brass body with stainless steel internal parts, an integral strainer, and two durable tight seating rubber check valve assemblies. The primary check valve uses a rubber-to-rubber seat, while the secondary check valve employs a rubber-to-metal seat. In the event of downstream check valve fouling, leakage is vented to atmosphere through the vent port, safeguarding the potable water system.

Features

  • True line-sized construction allows check modules to open further, reducing check fouling
  • Stainless steel internal parts for durability
  • Maximum flow at low pressure drop
  • Furnished with female union connections for easy removal and replacement
  • Compact design for economy and performance
  • Can be installed vertically or horizontally
  • Lead Free construction
  • Integral strainer protects internal components

NOTICE: This valve should only be used and properly installed so that spillage of water could not cause damage. To avoid water damage due to valve operation, a drain pipe must be installed. It should terminate approximately 12 inches (305mm) above a floor drain or through an air gap piped to a floor drain, or other suitable place of disposal. Under no circumstances should the vent opening or drain line be plugged.
