Connection Information
- This valve features 3/4 inch union solder end connections, designed to be soldered directly into your plumbing system.
- The integral union fittings allow for easy removal and replacement of the valve body for maintenance without cutting the soldered pipes.
- The 1/2 inch NPT thread drain connection requires a drain pipe to be installed, terminating approximately 12 inches (305mm) above a floor drain or through an air gap piped to a floor drain or other suitable place of disposal. This drain line must not be plugged.
- Compatible with both hot and cold water lines.
- Designed for smaller supply lines in applications such as laboratory equipment, processing tanks, sterilizers, dairy equipment, and boiler feed lines.

Additional Details
The Watts 9DS-M2 3/4 inch Dual Check Valve with Intermediate Atmospheric Vent prevents the reverse flow of hot or cold polluted water from entering into a potable water supply.
This valve is designed for continuous pressure, non-health hazard applications in smaller supply lines, such as laboratory equipment, processing tanks, sterilizers, dairy equipment, and specifically for boiler feed lines.
Construction & Operation
- Features a forged brass body with stainless steel internal parts and an integral strainer.
- Equipped with two durable, tight-sealing rubber check valves; a primary rubber-to-rubber seated check and a secondary rubber-to-metal seated check.
- In the event of downstream check valve fouling, leakage is vented to atmosphere through the vent port, safeguarding the potable water system.
- Union end solder connections facilitate removal and replacement for maintenance.
- Designed for maximum flow at low pressure drop and reduced check fouling due to true line-sized construction.
- Can be installed vertically or horizontally.
WARNING: It is illegal to use this product in any plumbing system providing water for human consumption, such as drinking or dishwashing, in the United States. Before installing, consult your local water authority, building, and plumbing codes.
