Connections

  • The Watts LF601S check valve features solder end connections, also known as sweat connections, for installation into copper piping systems.
  • It is designed for soldering without disassembly using a low-temperature solder (420°F / 216°C).
  • The valve must be installed with upward flow and can be positioned either horizontally or vertically.

When soldering, apply heat with the flame directed AWAY from the center of the valve body to prevent seat damage. Note that the maximum operating pressure for 50-50 solder connections is 200 psi at 100°F.
