  • This atmospheric type vacuum breaker must be installed a minimum of 6 inches above the highest point on the downstream piping to ensure proper function.
  • There must be no shutoff valves downstream of this anti-siphon vacuum breaker.
  • This device is designed for non-continuous pressure applications. It is not to be used under continuous pressure or in situations where backpressure may develop.
  • For applications requiring protection against backpressure backflow or continuous pressure, alternative backflow preventers such as Watts Series LF909, LF009 (for backpressure backflow) or LF800 (for continuous pressure vacuum breaking) should be specified.
