This Ames Colt Series C300N 3 inch double check detector backflow preventer assembly protects potable water from non-health hazard cross-connections, such as those found in fire sprinkler systems. It features a compact design with 304 stainless steel housing and patented Tri-Link Checks for low pressure loss and easy serviceability. The unit includes OS&Y gate valves with UL Certified supervisory switches to monitor unauthorized water use or tampering. A bypass meter registers flow in gallons per minute. This backflow preventer is approved by AWWA C510-97, ASSE 1048, CSA B64.5, UL, and FM, and can be installed horizontally, vertically, or in an N-pattern.
