This Colt(TM) 3 inch reduced pressure detector backflow preventer assembly prevents the reverse flow of fire protection substances and non-potable water into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and/or backpressure.

This compact modular design is approved for horizontal Z pattern installation, offering a lightweight solution that is 70% lighter than traditional designs.

Construction & Design

  • Features a 304 (Schedule 40) stainless steel housing and sleeve with a quick access design.
  • Includes two independent Link Check modules with a patented link check for lowest pressure loss.

  • Contains a corrosive resistant bottom-mounted cast stainless steel pressure relief valve.
