Description

The Maxim M500 3-inch Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly with OSY shutoff valves is designed to protect potable water supplies from hazardous cross-connections. Constructed with a 304 stainless steel housing and sleeve, it is 70% lighter and more compact than traditional designs. This assembly includes patented Link Check modules for low pressure loss, a bottom-mounted stainless steel relief valve, and a gallon per minute meter for detecting leaks and unauthorized water usage. It features groove fittings for easy installation and is approved by ASSE 1047, CSA B64.4, cULus, FM, and AWWA C511-97. Max operating pressure is 175 PSI.

It is ideal for health-hazard applications such as fire sprinkler systems and other service line contamination risks.

This compact, modular design features a single access cover for straightforward maintenance and is equipped with a gallon per minute meter for detecting unauthorized water use or underground leaks.
