This 4 inch reduced pressure detector backflow preventer assembly helps stop the reverse flow of liquids due to backpressure or backsiphonage, where a potential health hazard exists. It is extremely compact and lighter than traditional designs, approved for horizontal installation.

This assembly features a stainless steel body with a quick access sleeve, torsion spring check valves, and resilient seated gate valves with outside stem and yoke (OSY) shutoffs. It also includes test cocks, a corrosive-resistant bottom mounted pressure relief valve, and a cubic feet per minute meter to detect underground leaks and unauthorized water use.

Flood Detection & Alerting

  • Equipped with a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve.
  • When paired with an add-on sensor connection kit (sold separately), the sensor is activated to relay alerts for potential flooding events.
  • Connection kit options include BMS, cellular communication, and the Sensor Control Monitor which enables integration with BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.
