This Colt™ 4 inch reduced pressure detector backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection substances and non-potable water into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage or backpressure.
This compact, modular assembly is approved for horizontal Z pattern installation and includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology for detecting excessive relief valve discharges.
Primary Use
- Provides protection to drinking water supplies from dangerous cross-connections in accordance with national plumbing codes and water authority requirements for health-hazard non-potable service applications such as irrigation, fire line, or industrial processing.
- Monitors unauthorized use of water from the fire protection system.

Flood Sensor & Monitoring

- An add-on sensor connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor and enable alerts.
- Sensor Control Monitor integrates smart devices with BAS via RS‑485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.
