The 4 inch Ames Deringer 30G Double Check Detector Valve Assembly (DCDA-II) is a lead-free backflow preventer designed to protect potable water systems from non-health hazard pollutants due to backpressure or backsiphonage. Ideal for fire sprinkler systems, it features a stainless steel body, inline OS&Y gate valves with supervisory switches, and patented Dual-action™ check modules for optimal performance at both low and high flow rates. - Patented Dual-action™ check modules operate as a poppet style check under low flow conditions and a swing style check under high flow.
- Check modules utilize replaceable silicone elastomer sealing discs.
- Assembly is approved for both horizontal and vertical applications.
- Tamper-resistant test cocks operate via a tamper resistant actuator.
- Single full access service port with an "inline" replaceable elastomer cover seal.
- Assembly is serviceable without special tools.

- Gate valves feature a stainless steel stem with pre-machined groove for supervisory tamper switch installation.
