Description

The 4 inch Ames Deringer 50G Reduced Pressure Detector Assembly (RPDA-II) protects potable water supplies from hazardous contaminants and pollutants caused by backpressure or backsiphonage. Designed for fire sprinkler systems, it features a durable stainless steel housing, inline serviceable OS&Y gate valves, and Patented Dual-action™ checks for reliable performance across all flow rates. A GPM meter monitors bypass flow, and an integrated SentryPlus Alert® flood sensor detects relief valve discharges. Rated for 10-175 psi working pressure, this Lead Free assembly is UL, FM, ASSE, AWWA, and NSF/ANSI 372 approved, ensuring compliance and safety.

The 4 inch Ames Deringer™ 50G Reduced Pressure Detector Assembly is designed to prevent non-health hazard pollutants and hazardous contaminants from entering potable water supply systems due to backpressure or backsiphonage conditions. It is primarily used on fire sprinkler systems to monitor unauthorized water usage.

This backflow preventer features inline serviceable OS&Y gate valves, a durable stainless steel housing, and Patented Dual-action™ checks for high performance across low and high flow rates. It can be installed for continuous pressure service and includes a Type II bypass with a GPM meter for monitoring water usage.

A flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology is integrated to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When activated with an add-on sensor connection kit, this sensor can send alerts to notify personnel of potential flooding. Add-on sensor connection kits are available for BMS and cellular communications.
