FAQs
What is the primary purpose of the FEBCO MasterSeries LF876V backflow preventer?
Its primary purpose is to protect potable water supplies from pollution caused by backpressure or backsiphonage, particularly in fire protection systems. It also detects system leakage and unauthorized water use.
What is ArmorTek® coating and what are its benefits?
ArmorTek® is a patented three-part advanced epoxy system that coats the iron components. It's engineered to reduce microbial-induced corrosion (MIC) and protect exposed metal substrates, enhancing the durability and lifespan of the assembly.
Can this backflow preventer be installed in different orientations?
Yes, the FEBCO MasterSeries LF876V is designed for configurable installation in both horizontal (N-Pattern) and vertical-up (Z-Pattern) orientations, offering flexibility and helping to reduce installation costs.
What is the maximum operating pressure and temperature range for this assembly?
The maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12.1 bar). It operates continuously within a temperature range of 33°F to 140°F (0.5°C to 60°C).
How does the auxiliary bypass assembly function?
The compact 3/4 inch auxiliary bypass assembly features a 5/8"x3/4" water meter (GPM). It is designed to detect potential underground water leaks and unauthorized water usage in the system without compromising backflow prevention.
