This 4 inch Lead Free Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly provides protection for potable water systems from contamination, including backsiphonage and backpressure, in health hazard applications. It is designed for horizontal installation and also monitors unauthorized water use or leaks from the fire protection system.

Construction & Design

• Features Lead Free* construction, with wetted surfaces containing less than 0.25% lead by weight.
• Extremely compact design, up to 70% lighter than traditional models for easier installation in smaller enclosures.
• Constructed with 304 (Schedule 40) stainless steel housing and sleeve for durability.
• Includes two independent torsion spring check modules with reversible elastomer discs.
• Features a bottom-mounted cast stainless steel relief valve to reduce clearance requirements.
• Utilizes groove fittings to allow integral pipeline adjustment.

Monitoring & Alerts

• Equipped with a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect continuous discharge from the relief valve.
• Relays a signal to facility personnel for corrective action, limiting flooding and costly damage.
• Includes a metered bypass (gallon per minute meter) to detect leakage or theft of water from the fire sprinkler system.
• The flood alert feature can be activated with an add-on sensor connection kit, compatible with BMS and cellular network communication.
• NOTICE: An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor. Without the connection kit, the sensor is a passive component that has no communication with any other device. The flood sensor does not replace the need to comply with all required instructions, codes, and regulations related to installation, operation, and maintenance, including the need to provide proper drainage in the event of a discharge.
