The Colt 4 inch Lead Free Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly with grooved butterfly shutoffs provides vital protection for potable water systems. Designed for health-hazard applications, it prevents contamination from backsiphonage and backpressure. This compact, 70% lighter unit features a Type 304 stainless steel body, a metered bypass for leak detection, and a SentryPlus Alert® flood sensor. It is approved for horizontal N pattern installation and has a maximum working pressure of 175 psi. The assembly is UL Classified and FM Approved. Item number F0124666.

This Colt™ 4 inch Lead Free Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly provides vital protection to potable water systems by preventing the reverse flow of fire protection substances and non-potable water. It is designed for health-hazard applications to protect against backsiphonage, backpressure, and to monitor unauthorized water use from fire protection systems.

  • Extremely compact design, 70% lighter than traditional models
  • Constructed with a Type 304 (Schedule 40) stainless steel housing and sleeve
  • Features grooved fittings for integral pipeline adjustment and grooved gear operated butterfly valves with tamper switches
  • Includes a patented link check for lowest pressure loss and replaceable check disc rubber for unmatched ease of serviceability
  • Equipped with a bottom-mounted cast stainless steel relief valve and a metered bypass (CFM meter) to detect leakage or unauthorized water use
  • Integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve
  • Lead Free* construction ensures wetted surfaces contain less than 0.25% lead by weight to comply with installation requirements

An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor. Without the connection kit, the flood sensor is a passive component and will not communicate with any other device.
