Additional Details

This Colt™ 4 inch lead free reduced pressure detector backflow preventer assembly protects potable water systems from contamination due to backsiphonage or backpressure and monitors unauthorized water use from fire protection systems.

This compact, modular design is approved for horizontal N pattern installation, featuring a durable Type 304 (Schedule 40) stainless steel body with a quick access sleeve.

Features & Benefits

  • Equipped with a flood sensor featuring SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect continuous discharge from the relief valve. An add-on sensor connection kit is required to activate flood sensor alerts.
  • Metered bypass with a gallon per minute meter helps detect underground leaks and unauthorized water usage.
  • Designed for lowest pressure loss with patented link checks and easily replaceable check disc rubber for unmatched serviceability.
  • Constructed with Lead Free* materials for all wetted surfaces, containing less than 0.25% lead.
  • Includes grooved gear operated butterfly valves with tamper switch for reliable shutoff.
  • Offers an extremely compact design that is 70% lighter than traditional models.
  • The Sensor Control Monitor (when paired with an add-on kit) integrates smart devices with Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.

NOTICE: An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor; without it, the sensor is passive and will not communicate with other devices. This flood sensor does not replace compliance with all required instructions, codes, and regulations regarding installation, operation, maintenance, and proper drainage in the event of discharge.
