The Colt 4 inch lead free reduced pressure detector backflow preventer assembly is engineered to prevent the reverse flow of non-potable water and fire protection substances into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage or backpressure.

This compact and modular assembly features a Z pattern horizontal installation and is constructed with a Type 304 (Schedule 40) stainless steel housing and sleeve.

Components & Features

• Includes two independent Link Check modules with reversible elastomer discs for drip tight closure against reverse flow.
• A differential pressure relief valve is centrally located between the check modules.
• Equipped with two drip tight shutoff valves and necessary test cocks.
• A bypass assembly with a gallon per minute meter is furnished to detect underground leaks and unauthorized water usage.
• Features grooved gear operated butterfly valves with tamper switch for reliable shutoff.
• An integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology detects continuous discharge from the relief valve, signaling potential flooding events.
• An add-on sensor connection kit can extend flood monitoring, integrating with building management systems (BMS), cellular communication, or the Sensor Control Monitor for BAS/Nexa platform via Wi-Fi.
