Connections

  • This 6 inch backflow preventer assembly is equipped with outside stem and yoke (OSY) resilient seated gate valves, which typically feature flanged connections for robust installation into main piping systems.
  • The integrated flood sensor requires an add-on connection kit (sold separately) to activate its alert features. These kits facilitate communication via BMS (Building Management Systems) using RS-485 Modbus, or through the Nexa® platform via Wi-Fi for remote monitoring.

Additional Details

This 6 inch reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection substances and non-potable quality water into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and/or backpressure. It is ideal for protection in continuous pressure piping applications and at cross-connections identified as health hazards and from other contaminants found at the service line entrance.

It is illegal to use this product in any plumbing system providing water for human consumption, such as drinking or dishwashing, in the United States. Before installing, consult your local water authority, building, and plumbing codes.
