The Colt™ 6 inch Series C500 Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection substances and non-potable water into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage or backpressure. This assembly is ideal for protecting cross-connections identified as health hazards, such as on fire sprinkler systems and at service line entrances, in a horizontal Z pattern installation.

The compact modular design features a durable 304 (Schedule 40) stainless steel body with a quick-access sleeve, torsion spring check valves, outside stem and yoke (OSY) resilient seated gate valves, and a corrosive-resistant bottom-mounted cast stainless steel relief valve. This specific model includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect continuous water discharges from the relief valve.

• Requires an add-on sensor connection kit to activate the flood sensor and enable alerts.
