The 6 inch FEBCO LF856 MasterSeries® double check detector backflow preventer assembly protects drinking water from non-health hazard cross-connections. This FEBCO MasterSeries® LF856 Double Check Detector Assembly is designed for installation on the potable water supply at any point of cross-connection that requires protection against possible backpressure and backsiphonage for non-health hazard (pollutant) applications. It is particularly suitable for use on fire sprinkler and standpipe systems where detection of unauthorized water usage is required.

  • Inlet/Outlet Connections: The assembly is fitted with UL Classified/FM Approved resilient seated shutoff valves (OS&Y type) that are compliant to ASME B16.1 Class 125 and AWWA Class D Flange standards.
  • Bypass Line: The auxiliary bypass line includes a 5/8 inch x 3/4 inch Water Meter (ANSI/AWWA C700 Compliant) coupled with an approved check assembly, designed to monitor water usage.
  • Test Cocks: Contains four properly located resilient seated test cocks as specified by AWWA Standard C510 for easy testing.

This assembly is primarily used for non-health hazard, non-potable service applications such as irrigation, fire line, or industrial processing, especially where detection of unauthorized water use is required for fire sprinkler and standpipe systems.
