This assembly is approved for horizontal Z pattern installation, provided it is installed in accordance with the direction of the flow arrow.
Requires adequate clearance around the valve for inspection, testing, and servicing, with a 12-inch minimum clearance between the lower portion of the assembly and the floor or grade.
Protection from freezing is required to prevent damage.
Normal discharge and nuisance spitting are accommodated by using an Ames air gap fitting and a fabricated indirect waste line.
Floor drains of the same size must be provided in case of excessive discharge.
Groove couplings facilitate easy installation and pipe alignment.
