The Maxim M500N 6 inch Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly is designed to protect drinking water supplies from dangerous cross-connections. It prevents the reverse flow of non-potable water from fire protection systems and other health-hazard applications into potable water due to backsiphonage or backpressure.
This assembly monitors unauthorized water use from the fire protection system and is ideal for cross-connections identified as health hazards at the service line entrance.
