Additional Details

This 8 inch reduced pressure detector backflow preventer assembly helps stop the reverse flow of liquids due to backpressure or backsiphonage, where potential health hazard exists. Extremely compact and lighter than traditional designs, it is approved for horizontal installation.

The assembly consists of a 304 (Schedule 40) stainless steel body with a quick access sleeve, torsion spring check valves, UL Classified and FM Approved outside stem and yoke (OSY) resilient seated gate valves, test cocks, and a corrosive resistant bottom mounted cast stainless steel relief valve. It is furnished with a gallons per minute (GPM) meter to detect underground leaks and unauthorized water use.

This backflow assembly contains a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When paired with an add-on connection kit, the sensor is activated to relay alerts for potential flooding events.

A WARNING: It is illegal to use this product in any plumbing system providing water for human consumption, such as drinking or dishwashing, in the United States. Consult local water authority, building, and plumbing codes before installation.
