Description

The 8 inch Ames Series AVS-C Flange x Flange valve setter is constructed from fusion epoxy coated ductile iron, designed to augment the installation of "N" series backflow prevention valves. It features integral support between elbows, eliminating the need for thrust blocks at the installation point. This corrosion-resistant setter has a maximum working pressure of 175 psi and operates within a 32°F to 140°F temperature range. Its wetted surfaces contain less than 0.25% lead, making it suitable for consumable water applications. It is compatible with C400NBFG and C500NBFG models.

Compatibility & Installation

This Ames Series AVS valve setter is specifically designed to augment the installation of "N" series backflow prevention valves. It is intended for use with C400NBFG and C500NBFG models.

The unit features flange by flange connections. While the integral ductile iron support eliminates the need for thrust blocks between elbows, mechanical joint restraint devices may be used at pipe connections based on local conditions.

Note: Mechanical joint accessories, flange bolts, and gaskets are not included, except for center joints.
