Description

The Colt 8 inch C300N Double Check Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly protects potable water supplies from dangerous cross-connections in non-health hazard applications, such as fire sprinkler systems and industrial processing. This compact unit features a durable 304 stainless steel housing and sleeve, with patented Tri-Link check valves designed for lowest pressure loss. Equipped with Outside Stem and Yoke (OS&Y) shutoffs and a gallon per minute meter for leak detection, it supports N pattern, horizontal, or vertical installations. It is designed for continuous pressure service with a maximum working pressure of 175 psi.

This Colt™ 8 inch double check detector backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection substances and water of non-potable quality from being pumped or siphoned into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and/or backpressure in accordance with national plumbing codes and water authority requirements.

It is ideal for protection at cross-connections identified as non-health hazards such as on fire sprinkler systems and from other contaminants found at the service line entrance.
