The Colt™ 8 inch Lead Free Series C400 Reduced Pressure Zone Backflow Preventer assembly protects potable water systems from contamination due to backsiphonage and backpressure in health hazard applications. It prevents the reverse flow of fire protection substances and non-potable water into the potable water supply, making it ideal for continuous pressure piping applications.

This assembly features a SentryPlus Alert® flood sensor to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When paired with an add-on connection kit, the sensor activates to relay alerts for potential flooding events via BMS, cellular communication, or the Sensor Control Monitor for integration with BAS (RS-485 Modbus) or the Nexa® platform (Wi-Fi).
